Planning & Design by Nomad Republic
Elizabeth & Rory chose Villa La Vedetta in Florence to host their intimate summer affair. This couple from Denver wanted to tie the knot in the Italian city of art and fell genuinely in love with the Neo-Renaissance Villa & Luxury Hotel. In time, they flew to Italy with 20 of their closest friends and family members for a memorable wedding experience. Their day featured a garden ceremony filled with bohemian floral elements followed by a romantic al fresco dinner overlooking the city. The bride & groom had crafted their own ceremony and asked their parents and siblings to officiate. But for everyone to be involved, the couple included a toast and clinked each of their guests’ glasses on their way out.
For their color palette, Nomad Republic pulled inspiration from Elizabeth’s meteorites collection. They worked together with florist Julie Guittard to bring the couple’s vision of a Tuscan, old-world feel affair paired with contemporary aesthetics to life. The bride wanted to honor a family tradition and offer her guests pizzelle cookies that her grandmother used to make on special occasions. After dinner, everyone enjoyed organic Florentine gelati served from a vintage cart, and danced the night away under the stars. Before calling it a night, they all headed to Piazza della Repubblica for a ride on the iconic vintage carousel.
